Capabilities

Rhyal Engineering offer a complete engineering, design, fabrication and installation service for new or existing tanks and can undertake all aspects of tank build & repair to the applicable design codes. This includes all ancillary & support items such as access platforms, pipework, supports & structural steelwork. We can undertake:

We can also supply personnel and equipment to site erect and weld client supplied materials. Rhyal Engineering can demonstrate extensive experience of storage tank refurbishment and currently has the long-term tank maintenance contract with ExxonMobil at Fawley Refinery. We are involved at every stage of the refurbishment from initial handover, through to return to service and all such tanks are managed throughout by Rhyal Engineering as the Principal Contractor in accordance with the CDM regulations.

Design

All tank repairs and modifications are completed strictly in accordance with BS EN14015/EEMUA 159 or API 650/653 construction and repair codes, whilst all access platforms are built to the relevant standard, e.g. BS EN ISO 14122

Rhyal Engineering can undertake stress analysis & support safety cases.

All structural steelwork is designed to the applicable code. Rhyal Engineering are certified to BSEN1090 part 2.

Turnkey

We also regularly perform most of our projects on a turn-key basis, where Rhyal Engineering will control and employ approved subcontractors to complete associated activities, e.g. civil works, tank inspection and NDT, specialist tank painting and lining, insulation, electrical and instrumentation.

Maintenance

Rhyal Engineering management and personnel have been selected and recruited on the basis of providing extensive experience and knowledge of previous tank repairs and modifications. We have therefore built an enviable reputation on our ability to take on all aspects of minor and major tank refurbishment and produce a quality repair, on time, every time. Whatever your refurbishment problems present, Rhyal Engineering has the professional and practical solution to meet the challenge.

Construction

Rhyal Engineering can manufacture in our workshops from carbon, nickel or stainless steels and deliver to site for construction by our own teams of highly skilled personnel. We have wide experience of construction work at large industrial sites across the UK and overseas. These include refinery and power stations to smaller industrial sites such as food and specialist chemical production.

We are highly flexible and customer focused with construction work varying from EPC contractor to individual work scope items as required. Rhyal Engineering’s installation project teams can undertake full design, fabrication and installation projects, both as part of a tank related activity or as a stand alone project.

Fabrication

Rhyal Engineering offers a fabrication and installation service for the following items to be fitted to new or existing tanks.

Aluminium geodesic dome roofs.

Aluminium and Stainless Steel internal floating decks.

Galvanised and stainless steel floating roof seals.

Both hard and flexible hose drain systems for external floating roofs.

Floating suction units.

Rhyal Engineering offers a full piping design, fabrication and site installation service. We regularly complete projects for the petrochemical and water industries ranging from the supply and installation of a few spools to the wholesale fabrication and installation of tank farm piping systems, loading racks, pumps and fire fighting systems.

Rhyal Engineering are constantly called upon to supply high and low level support steelwork for piping systems, high level platforms, walkways, ladders, etc. We have the capability to engineer, design, fabricate, deliver and install all such structures in painted or galvanised materials.
